2026 Inter-State/Region Sepak Takraw tourney continues
THE round-robin matches in the men’s and women’s regu team events of the 2026 Inter-State and Region Sepak Takraw Tournament continued at Gymnasium A of the Wunna Theikdhi Sports Complex in Nay Pyi Taw on yesterday.
The tournament is jointly organized by the Department of Sports and Physical Education under the Ministry of Sports and the Myanmar Sepak Takraw Federation to develop new generations of athletes and raise the standard of the sport.
In the men’s event, Kachin, Yangon, Shan, Bago, Kayin, Nay Pyi Taw and Sagaing secured victories, while the women’s event saw wins for Ayeyawady, Sagaing, Taninthayi, Mon, Chin, Mandalay, Rakhine, Yangon and Bago.
The final round-robin matches and quarterfinals in both events will be held on 28 August. Sports fans can attend free of charge. — MNA/KZL
