5 Myanmar companies showcase products at Macao Trade Fair




FIVE Myanmar companies showcased and sold jade, gemstones, jewellery, lac­querware and garments at the Guangdong and Ma­cao Branded Products Fair 2026 (GMBPF), held in Ma­cao Special Administrative Region, China, from 6 to 9 August, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.


The fair was jointly organized by the Macao SAR Government, the Commerce and Invest­ment Promotion Institute of Macao (IPIM), and the Guangdong Provincial De­partment of Commerce.


Held at the Venetian Macao Cotai Expo, the ex­hibition featured six zones. The Myanmar companies participated in the Belt and Road Products Zone,


displaying a range of tra­ditional and value-added products.


The opening cere­mony was attended by senior officials from the Macao SAR Government, IPIM, the Guangdong Provincial Department of Commerce, diplomat­ic representatives, and invitees, including Myan­mar Consul-General to Macao Daw Phu Pwint Ko Ko. — ASH/KNN
