Ayeyawady FC Women ramp up training ahead of AFC Women’s Champions League

AYEYAWADY FC Wom­en are stepping up their preparations for the upcoming AFC Wom­en’s Champions League (AWCL), in which they will represent Myanmar as the reigning Myanmar Women’s League cham­pions.

 

Group F matches will be held at Thuwunna Sta­dium in Yangon from 17 to 23 August. Ayeyawady will open their campaign against Singapore’s Albi­rex Jurong before taking on Lebanon’s No Limits. Their final group match will be against Chinese Taipei’s New Taipei Hang Yuan.

 

With only the group winners advancing from the four-team preliminary stage, the final match could prove decisive in determining which team progresses to the next round.

 

Ayeyawady FC Wom­en have called on Myan­mar football fans to attend the matches at Thuwunna Stadium and support the team as they seek to make the country proud on the continental stage. — Htun Htun/KZL
