Construction of 2,400-gallon elevated water tank inspected in Yenangyoung
OFFICIALS conducted a field inspection yesterday of the construction progress of a 2,400-gallon elevated water tank in Kyigyi Village, Yenangyoung Township, Magway Region, being implemented by the Department of Rural Development of Yenangyoung Township under the Department of Rural Development, Ministry of Cooperatives and Rural Development, with Union funds for the 2026- 2027 financial year.
Daw May Thet Naing, District Head of the Department of Rural Development of Chauk District, U Aye Tun Min, Township Head of the Department of Rural Development of Yenangyoung Township, and staff, together with company officials and members of the Village Water Supply Committee, inspected the construction progress of the 2,400-gallon elevated water tank in Kyigyi Village. The district head instructed those concerned to carry out the works in compliance with the prescribed standards and complete them on time.
In Kyigyi Village, the construction of a 2,400-gallon elevated water tank, installation of a 6.96 kW solar-powered water pumping system, and construction of a 120-foot-long fence are being implemented during the current financial year with an approved Union fund of K48.376 million by Zenith Creative Construction Co Ltd. The project commenced in the fourth week of June 2026, and 62 per cent has reportedly been completed. — Naw Lu (DRD)
