Construction of 2,400-gallon elevated water tank inspected in Yenangyoung





OFFICIALS conducted a field inspection yester­day of the construction progress of a 2,400-gallon elevated water tank in Ky­igyi Village, Yenangyoung Township, Magway Re­gion, being implement­ed by the Department of Rural Development of Yenangyoung Township under the Department of Rural Development, Min­istry of Cooperatives and Rural Development, with Union funds for the 2026- 2027 financial year.


Daw May Thet Naing, District Head of the De­partment of Rural Devel­opment of Chauk District, U Aye Tun Min, Township Head of the Department of Rural Development of Ye­nangyoung Township, and staff, together with compa­ny officials and members of the Village Water Supply Committee, inspected the construction progress of the 2,400-gallon elevated water tank in Kyigyi Vil­lage. The district head in­structed those concerned to carry out the works in compliance with the pre­scribed standards and complete them on time.


In Kyigyi Village, the construction of a 2,400-gal­lon elevated water tank, installation of a 6.96 kW so­lar-powered water pump­ing system, and construc­tion of a 120-foot-long fence are being implemented during the current finan­cial year with an approved Union fund of K48.376 mil­lion by Zenith Creative Construction Co Ltd. The project commenced in the fourth week of June 2026, and 62 per cent has report­edly been completed. — Naw Lu (DRD)
