Over 1,000 acres of monsoon cotton yarn cultivated in Kyaukse Township

            A total of 1027 acres of long-staple cotton have been cultivated in Kyaukse Township, Kyaukse District, Mandalay Region. In the township, there have been 12 stations and of which, 32 acres have been planted in 6 stations and 22 acres in 7 stations, totaling 973 acres in 12 stations.

            The township agriculture department supports cotton farmers in selecting and cultivation high-quality long-staple cotton varieties such as Shwetaung (10), Shwetaung (8) and Ngwechi (6) in order to achieve better yields and reduce input costs.
