Second day of Traditional Myanmar Food Competition and Exhibition held in Mandalay

THE Myanmar Restau­rant Association’s Tra­ditional Myanmar Food Competition and Exhi­bition 2026 (Mandalay), under the theme “Taste of the Golden Land 2026 (Mandalay)”, was held at the Mandalay Conven­tion Centre in Mandalay for two days on 22 and 23 August.

Activities on the sec­ond day included pres­entations of traditional Myanmar dishes in an international-standard fine-dining style, discus­sions by officials from Myanmar’s tea and cof­fee associations on their respective sectors, a panel discussion entitled “From Regional Flavours to World-Class Excellence”, and demonstrations of cocktails made using tradi­tional Myanmar products.

Deputy Minister for Hotels, Tourism and Cul­ture U Phyo Zaw Soe, together with officials, attended the second day of the competition and exhibition and delivered remarks.

A total of 11 teams competed in the competi­tion, while 141 exhibition booths were set up to dis­play and sell products. — MNA/KNN
