Top teams eye crucial wins in Women’s League
THE 2026-27 Myanmar Women’s League Week 8 fixtures will run from 3 to 5 August, with league leaders Sports and Physical Education Institute aiming to strengthen their position at the top.
Sports and Physical Education Institute, who lead the standings with 19 points will face Myawady on 5 August, while second-placed Ayeyawady (16 points) take on Yangon City on 4 August.
The week’s key clash will see third-placed Shan United (14 points) meet Yadanarbon (11 points), as both teams look to close the gap in the top half of the table.
Other fixtures include Yangon United vs Young Lionesses and Zwekapin United versus Thitsar Arman on 3 August.
The league is organized by the Myanmar Football Federation and Myanmar National League, with Max Energy as the main sponsor. AYA Pay Player of the Match awards have also been increased to K500,000 per match this season. — Ko Nyi Lay/KZL
