Kyauktaga’s completed 400-volt power line installation inspected
THE Kyauktaga Township Department of
Rural Development, Nyaunglebin District, Bago Region, conducted an on-site inspection
on 9 September to review the completed installation of a 400-volt power line in
Sapyin Village, funded by interest earnings from the Mya Sein Yaung (MSY)
Village Project and community contributions.
Township Head Daw Poe Ei Phyo Ko of the
Kyauktaga Department of Rural Development, along with project officers and
members of the Village Development Committee, inspected the completed 400-volt
power line installation in Sapyin Village and provided necessary instructions.
The installation of the 2,440-foot
400-volt power line in Sapyin Village began in the fourth week of June. The
project was carried out directly by the villagers under the close supervision
of the Department of Rural Development staff, with a total budget of K44.688
million, comprising K22.8 million from the Department’s MSY Village Project interest
funds and K21.888 million contributed by the local community. The project has
now been 100 per cent completed.
With the completion of this 400-volt
power line installation, 152 households and 829 residents in the village will
now have access to round-the-clock electricity. — Nilar
