Myanmar U20 team thrash Brunei 7-0 in AFC qualifiers
MYANMAR’S men’s U20 football team began their AFC U20 Asian Cup China 2027 Qualifiers Group K campaign with a 7-0 victory over Brunei at Thuwunna Stadium in Yangon yesterday evening.
The match was attended by Yangon Region government officials, representatives from the Department of Sports and Physical Education and other departments, AFC Senior Vice-President and Myanmar Football Federation President U Zaw Zaw, invitees and football fans.
Myanmar, who are grouped with Sri Lanka, Brunei and the Maldives, have won both of their matches to collect six points. They will face the Maldives’ U20 team on 6 September 2026. — Zwe Htet Ko (IPRD)/KZL
