Myanmar, Vietnam discuss boosting investment, tackling economic challenges




MYANMAR and Vietnam held discussions on in­creasing bilateral invest­ment and jointly address­ing economic challenges, according to the Republic of the Union of Myanmar Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (UMFCCI).


The meeting took place on 29 September at the UMFCCI office, where UMFCCI President U Aye Win received Vietnamese Ambassador to Myanmar Mr Nguyen Anh Duc and his delegation.


The discussions fol­lowed the Vietnam My­anmar Business Forum 2026 held on 6 September at the Melia Hotel in Ha­noi. Both sides explored opportunities for future economic cooperation, plans to organize a follow up seminar, and ways to overcome shared econom­ic challenges through joint efforts. Attendees includ­ed UMFCCI President U Aye Win, Vice President Dr Win Si Thu, Counsel­lor Mr Le Dinh An from the Vietnamese Embassy, UMFCCI Secretary Gen­eral Daw Khine Khine Nwe and Joint Secretaries U Myo Thant, U Ye Myint Maung, and Daw Nan Ka­laya Win. — NN/KK
