Myanmar wins another silver to finish Dragon Boat World Cup with five medals
MYANMAR secured another silver medal on the final day of the Dragon Boat World Cup in Yuanling, China, bringing its medal tally to three silver and two bronze medals.
In the final event, the Men’s Open 10-paddler 14,000-metre Marathon Dragon Boat race, Ukraine finished first, followed by Myanmar in second and hosts China in third.
Myanmar won one silver medal on 25 September, followed by one silver and two bronze medals on 26 September, and added another silver medal on the final day.
The Myanmar team will next travel from Yuanling to Hangzhou to compete in the qualifying event for the World Dragon Boat Racing Championships, scheduled to be held from 30 September to 3 October. — MNA/ KZL
