Police beefs up security in Yangon Region

THE police from town­ship police stations across Yangon Region are working together with traffic police and relevant administrative authorities to reduce crime and prevent crim­inal activities in the re­gion.

 

Yesterday, the po­lice teams from Insein, Hlinethaya (East), Hline­thaya (West), North Okkalapa, Ahlon and Thanlyin townships, to­gether with traffic police personnel from Kamayut Township, conducted public crime-prevention awareness activities, dis­tributed pamphlets, car­ried out daytime bicycle patrols, conducted traffic checks and educated pe­destrians on using zebra crossings.

 

Similarly, on 6 Sep­tember, police from Ahl­on, Kamayut, Pabedan, Dagon Myothit (North), Hlinethaya (West), Hmawby and Sangyoung townships also conduct­ed patrols, traffic checks, inspections of KTV busi­nesses, bicycle patrols for area security and guest-list checks. — Aung Thu/KTZH
