Completed 5,000-Gallon Brick Water Tank in Sagaing Township Inspected

The Sagaing District Department of Rural Development inspected the completed 5,000-gallon brick water tank in Arlaung Village, Sagaing Township, Sagaing Region, this morning.

Daw Yin Yin Cho, head of the Sagaing District Department of Rural Development, Daw Aye Aye Nwe, head of the Sagaing Township Department of Rural Development, and officials inspected the facility together with village elders. Daw Yin Yin Cho gave necessary instructions on the facility’s maintenance and remaining requirements.

The project was implemented by departmental engineers with K19 million in funding from the Sagaing Region Government. Construction began in the fourth week of May this year and has been completed 100 percent.

The water tank is expected to benefit 335 households, or 1,620 people, in Arlaung Village by improving access to water.—Thu Thu Nyein (DRD)
