KBZMS volunteers mark Disaster Risk Reduction Day with community work in Thanlyin
FIFTY KBZMS volunteers, led by KBZMS
Chief Executive Officer U Sai Lu Mon Aung, joined forces with FIN Myanmar, the
Early Childhood School Management Committee and the Community Resource Centre
to carry out community service activities in Natsingon Village, Thanlyin
Township, Yangon Region, on 12 October, ahead of International Day for
Disaster Risk Reduction, which fell on 13 October.
The activities included renovating
drainage channels and carrying out earth-filling work to reduce the risk of
flooding, prevent waterlogging and create cleaner and safer community
environments.
