Mandalay Region Begins K284.2 Million Road Widening Project

The Township Rural Road Development Department is undertaking asphalt road widening works along an existing paved section of No. 2 Inter-District Road with K284.2 million allocated by the Mandalay Region, to support socio-economic development and facilitate faster and more efficient transportation of goods.

No. 2 Inter-District Road connects Kyaukse, Yay Ywar and Pyin Oo Lwin. Upon completion of the widening project, the road is expected to enable smoother and faster transportation of goods. The improved road infrastructure is also expected to benefit rural communities by supporting development in the social, economic, health and education sectors.—Thet Maung (Kyaukse)
