MCDC, Engineering Federation Host Technical Seminar in Mandalay

THE Mandalay City Development Committee (MCDC), in collaboration with the Federation of Myanmar Engineering Societies (Mandalay Region), hosted a technical seminar at Mandalay City Hall at 9:00 am yesterday.

Mandalay Mayor U Khin Maung Aye opened the seminar, followed by remarks from regional engineering branch chairman U Shwe Zin on the event’s goals and local initiatives. Key presentations covered building laws and compliance regulations by head of MCDC’s building and warehouse department U Kyaw Thu Win, soil investigation and its significance by engineer Daw Khin May Htay, and public and environmental safety responsibilities of proressional engineers, registered senior engineers and registered engineers by engineer U Zaw Win, followed by a Q&A session with attendees.

The event was attended by MCDC officials, regional executive members, and proressional engineers, registered senior engineers and registered engineers accredited by the Myanmar Engineering Council. — MNA/ST
