MoTC Union Minister inspects upgrading work of Yangon-Mandalay railway

Member Union Minister for Transport and Communications Admiral Tin Aung San
inspected the upgrading project Phase I of the Yangon-Mandalay railway
yesterday afternoon.
First, the Union minister arrived
at the briefing hall of the Bago-Nyaunglebin section (CP-102) in Pyuntaza. The
general manager (engineer-admin) and officials from Myanma Railways explained
Phase I of the Yangon-Mandalay Railway upgrading project with the Japanese ODA
loan and the progress of work on the Yangon-Toungoo railway section.
The Union minister and party also
inspected the construction of the platform at Pyuntaza station. Then, they
inspected the completion of construction of the railway within 30 miles long
section between Pyuntaza and Phayagyi and the construction site of bridge No
