About 30 injured in S. Korea's 8-vehicle collision

About 30 people were injured in a rear-end collision accident involving eight vehicles that occurred in the South Korean eastern province of Gangwon, Yonhap news agency said on Friday.
Four school trip buses, three trucks and one passenger car collided one after another at about 1:26 p.m. local time on a road in Hongcheon county, some 100 km east of the capital Seoul.
Around 30 people were lightly injured in the accident, Yonhap said, citing the fire authorities and police.
On board the buses were students and teachers from a middle school in Seoul.
The fire authorities and police dispatched 12 equipment and some 30 rescuers to the scene, while investigating the exact cause of the accident.
