K10 million worth of medicines produced by MPE donated to Mocha victims

Union Minister for Industry Dr
Charlie Than visited Win Thuza Shop at the corner of Strand Street and Yedwin
Street, Kyaypingyi Ward, Sittway and Sittway District Department of Industrial
Supervision and Inspection in Satyoekya Ward yesterday morning.
During his visit, he met staffs
and coordinated the necessary repairs for the buildings damaged by storm Mocha.
Next, the Union Minister visited
MSME businesses including Shwengh Bakery in Satyoekya industrial ward, Shwekyar
Weaving Industry in Kyamathauk Village and Thant Thant Lay oil mill in North
Aungmingala Ward, inspected damage caused by the storm, met business owners,
and coordinated with relevant departments.
Union Minister Dr Charlie Than
met members of the National Disaster Management Committee Union Minister for
Border Affairs Lt-Gen Tun Tun Naung, Union Minister for Construction U Myo
Thant, Rakhine State Chief Minister U Htein Lin, and deputy ministers from the
relevant ministries at the Government Office in Sittway, Rakhine State on 10
June.
During the meeting, the Rakhine
State Chief Minister discussed the development of MSME businesses and their
damage conditions in the recent storm and the plans to restore business to the
original condition.
The Union Minister clarified the
issues related to registration and human resources for MSMEs.
After that, the Union Minister
handed over seven kinds of medicines worth K10 million produced by the Myanmar
Pharmaceutical Enterprise of the Ministry of Industry for the storm-victims to
the Rakhine State Chief Minister.
After that, the Union Minister
met with the employees of Rakhine State Department of Industrial Supervision
and Inspection and gave K7.5 million as cash assistance to them.—MNA/KZL
