Rakhine State Chief Minister meets ethnic youth students of border area in Sittway



A meeting with students at the Border Area Ethnic Youth De­velopment Training School (Sit­tway) was held yesterday morn­ing, attended by Rakhine State Chief Minister U Htein Lin and his wife, the Chief Justice of the State High Court, state minis­ters, departmental officials, the school’s principal, teachers, and students.


The Chief Minister and of­ficials first toured the student dormitories, inspected the solar power system, and overviewed vegetable cultivation within the school as part of the Rakhine State government’s plan.


The Chief Minister then met with students in the dining hall, delivered a speech, and formally handed over additional food al­lowances provided by the Rakh­ine State government. The Chief Minister’s wife contributed rain­coats and other items for distri­bution to the students. The Chief Justice of the State High Court allocated cash assistance for high school students, while the Minis­ter of State Security and Border Affairs designated financial aid for middle school students. Of­ficials received these items and funds on behalf of the students, and one student expressed grat­itude on behalf of all recipients. — Tin Tun (IPRD)/TH
