2 Million Methamphetamine Pills Seized in Mong Hsat Township

A total of 2 million methamphetamine pills, with an estimated value of 8 billion kyats, were seized in Mong Hsat Township, Shan State, according to the Myanmar Police Force.
Acting on a tip-off, a joint anti-narcotics team stopped and searched an ISUZU vehicle driven by Sai Lu, with Kya Wei as a passenger, near Ju Lu Village while en route from Mongtom Village to Mong Hsat. The operation took place at 8:30 am on 20 July, resulting in the discovery and seizure of the narcotics.
Based on initial investigations, police believe the methamphetamine pills were smuggled from Wan Tong Village, Mong Hsat Township, and transported toward Meking Village, Mongtung Township, Shan State.
Legal action has been taken against those involved, and further investigations are underway to identify others connected to the trafficking network.— MNA
