Pwintbyu Township Plants Over 60,000 Acres of Rain-Fed Crops
Pwintbyu, 24 July
Pwintbyu Township in Minbu District, Magway Region, has planted 60,821 acres of rain-fed crops so far this rainy season, according to the Township Agriculture Department. Planting began in May 2025 with a seasonal target of 140,345 acres.
Crops planted include paddy, corn, pulses, oilseeds, cotton, fruit trees, and others. The department is supporting farmers through soil improvement, quality seeds, Good Agricultural Practices (GAP), efficient water use, and pest control.
