4th respect-paying ceremony for aged theatrical performers



THE Myanmar Theatrical As­sociation (Central) organized its 4th respect-paying ceremony for aged theatrical performers in Yangon yesterday.

 

Union Minister for Infor­mation U Maung Maung Ohn, Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein, regional ministers, the director-general of the De­partment of Fine Arts, invitees and aged theatrical performers.

 

The Union minister, the region chief minister and the director-general of the Depart­ment of Fine Arts made speech­es respectively.

 

The Union minister donated K3 million, 20 MRTV DTH and 100 set-top boxes receivers and set boxes, and the region's chief minister donated K25 million and 500 bags of rice.

 

Chairman U Phoe Chit of the Myanmar Theatrical As­sociation (Central) expressed gratitude to officials and pledged to make efforts to improve the members and the theatrical field.

 

The patrons, chairman and executive members of the as­sociation and attendees paid respect to the aged theatrical performers and presented gifts to them.

 

Afterwards, the young theat­rical performers and experts of the affiliated committees of the Myanmar Theatrical Association (Central) performed singing, Hs­ing (traditional Myanmar music), dance, Myaywine Zat (traditional lower-stage drama), circus and magic show. — MNA/KTZH
