CFRD celebrates 10th anniversary in Yangon
UNION Minister for the Ministry 2 of the
President’s Office U Ko Ko Hlaing attended the 10th anniversary of China
Foundation for Rural Development (CFRD) at the Wyndham Grand Yangon Hotel in
Yangon yesterday.
The Union minister, Ms Cao Jing, Chargé d’Affaires ad
interim of the Embassy of China, and CFRD Vice-President Mr Liu Wenkui made
speeches respectively at the event.
The organizations working with the CFRD
signed the agreements, and the Union minister and the CFRD vice-president gave
presents to donors.
The relevant officials expressed
gratitude on behalf of the donors.
CFRD Myanmar has been fully implementing
poverty reduction programmes in Myanmar under the concept of “Great Love”, in
line with the Belt and Road Initiative strategy. These efforts include donating
nutritious food to children in certain states across Myanmar, providing solar
lamps to students and families in areas without electricity, supporting
university students with scholarships and skills training programmes, and
installing water purification systems in rural communities. — MNA/KTZH
