Drug Awareness Talk Held in Minhla Township

Upper Minhla, 24 October

The Township Information and Public Relations Department, in collaboration with the Department of Basic Education, organized a drug prevention awareness talk and book exhibition at No. 6 Basic Education Primary School in Minhla Township, Thayet District, Magway Region, at 9:00 a.m. today.

During the event, Daw Mar Cho Win, Deputy Staff Officer of the Township Information and Public Relations Department, delivered a lecture on the dangers of drug use. She discussed various topics, including the definition and types of drugs, the psychological and physical effects of drug abuse, the reasons behind drug use, and the harmful impacts of tobacco. She also advised students to stay away from drugs to protect their health and safeguard their future ambitions.

Following the lecture, the Department of Information and Public Relations showcased a collection of books and magazines aimed at expanding students’ general knowledge beyond the classroom. Students enthusiastically read and explored the materials on display.— Win Myat (Upper Minhla)
