Lashio University reopens with ceremony attended by North-East Command Commander

THE reopening ceremony of Lashio University was held yesterday morning at the uni­versity in Lashio, Shan State (North). The ceremony was attended by Brig-Gen Aye Min Oo, Commander of the North­East Command, together with state government ministers, departmental officials, faculty members, students, and in­vitees.

 

The commander and offi­cials first cut the ceremonial ribbon to inaugurate the arch­way of Lashio University and sprinkled scented water on the university signboard. They then observed students in their classes and offered words of en­couragement. Afterwards, they inspected the renovation of the classrooms and addressed the necessary requirements.

 

The commander and offi­cials also visited Lashio Edu­cation Degree College, where they observed learning of students and toured the class­rooms. — MNA/MKKS
