Russia’s EMERCOM awards medals and certificates to MoD for earthquake rescue efforts
THE ceremony to present the honorary
medals and certificates awarded by Russia’s EMERCOM to representatives from
Myanmar’s Ministry of Defence for their outstanding efforts in earthquake
rescue operations was held yesterday at the Hsinphyushin Hall of the Military
Transit Camp in Nay Pyi Taw.
It was attended by Mandalay Region
Chief Minister U Myo Aung, Russian Ambassador to Myanmar Mr Iskander Azizov,
Adjutant General Lt-Gen Phone Myat, Senior Tatmadaw officers of office of the
Commander-in-Chief (Army), recipients of awards and relevant officials.
The Russian Ambassador remarked and
presented honorary medals and certificates to the outstanding representatives
of the Ministry of Defence.
The region’s chief minister expressed
words of gratitude on behalf of the recipients and concluded the event. —
