UEC Member meets Nicaraguan Ambassador to discuss 2025 general election process
UNION Election Commission Member U Myo Hlaing received Mr Mario Jose Armengol Campos, Hanoi-based Ambassador of the Republic of Nicaragua to Myanmar, at the Bagan Hall of the Jasmine Nay Pyi Taw Hotel in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday morning.
During the meeting, U Myo Hlaing explained the successful conduct of Phase One of the 2025 multiparty democratic general election, as well as the associated electoral processes.
The Nicaraguan Ambassador noted that he had been able to observe voters casting their ballots freely, fairly and transparently, and to study the systematic implementation of the election procedures. He expressed his gratitude for the warm and courteous hospitality extended to him and raised questions on matters he wished to learn more about. The Union Election Commission member responded to them through open and cordial discussions.
