MNA launches Myeik-Dawei- Myeik flight route
MYANMAR National Airlines launched a Myeik-Dawei-Myeik flight service to improve connectivity for travellers in remote areas.
Under the guidance of the President, the airline operates L-410 aircraft to provide easier access for passengers. Flights from Yangon also run to Manaung and Kyaukpyu in Rakhine State, while services based at Myeik Airport connect to Dawei, Bokpyin and Kawthoung starting from the morning of 24 April.
The L-410 aircraft departed Myeik at 8 am yesterday carrying 14 passengers and arrived in Dawei at 8:45 am. Officials, including the Taninthayi Region Chief Minister welcomed the new service at Dawei Airport.
The aircraft then departed Dawei at 10 am with 16 passengers and arrived back in Myeik at 10:52 am, according to the Ministry of Transport. — MNA/KZL
