MoI Union Minister inspects affiliated departments




UNION Minister for Informa­tion U Htein Lin yesterday in­spected the Pyinmana-Thabyay­taung MRTV retransmission station, IPRD offices in Pyin­mana and Lewe townships to ensure the timely broadcasting of accurate information to the public.


During the meeting with the staff of Pyinmana-Thabyay­taung MRTV retransmission station, he highlighted the need to effectively disseminate the government’s objectives, activ­ities, and 100-day plans of the new government to the public promptly through media chan­nels, improve the broadcasting quality, and discuss matters re­lated to video production and broadcasting.


He then inspected the up­link operations used to transmit video news reports produced by various ministries for inclusion in Myanma Radio and Televi­sion (Tatkon), and the DVB-T2 broadcasting system, FM trans­mission equipment, and facili­ties, including the station cafe­teria, staff housing, dormitories, and transmission towers.


On arrival at the IPRD of­fices in Pyinmana and Lewe townships, he observed the ar­rangement of children’s reading corners, preparations for mobile bus services to lend books, sys­tematic management of books and publications for public ac­cess, and reading circle discus­sions organized by Book Club members. He also provided food to staff and children.


He also met staff mem­bers and urged the district and township level offices to imple­ment plans that would bring significant improvements with­in the new government’s first 100 days. He emphasized the importance of delivering infor­mation related to agriculture, livestock, education, healthcare, and social affairs to rural areas.


He encouraged efforts to enhance youth critical thinking and proper mindset through reading, including or­ganizing mobile libraries and literary events. He instructed that public services should be delivered efficiently without delays, whereas the libraries should offer educational and skill-based training, such as computer courses, and reading promotion activities should be accelerated. He stressed the im­portance of widely disseminat­ing government activities to the public, responding effectively to misinformation and fake news, and ensuring that accurate in­formation reaches the public on time. — MNA/KTZH
