People’s Military Service Training 24 opens at commands across regions/states

TO serve national defence and security duties, eligible and capable citizens selected to attend People’s Military Service Training Batch 24 have arrived at their respective training depots located within various command areas and have carried out the necessary preparatory arrangements.

Yesterday morning, the opening ceremonies for People’s Military Service Training 24 were held at the various training depots. At the ceremonies, the commandants of the training depots delivered opening remarks.

The Nay Pyi Taw Council chairman, chief ministers of regions and states, commanders and officials attended the ceremonies. They met with the trainees of Batch 24, presented them with honorary cash awards, food items and essential supplies, and offered words of encouragement.

As every citizen has a responsibility to safeguard the our three national causes – non-disintegration of the Union, non-disintegration of national solidarity, and perpetuation of sovereignty – the People’s Military Service Law was enacted on 10 February 2024 to enable citizens to receive military training and to undertake national defence duties. Accordingly, People’s Military Service training programmes have been conducted.

Graduates of these People’s Military Service training courses are now serving diligently in their assigned battalions and units, fulfilling their duties in national defence and security. — MNA/MKKS
