Hluttaw conveys people’s will to government to meet public needs





PYITHU Hluttaw Speaker U Khin Yi frankly met residents in Zeyathiri Township of Nay Pyi Taw Union Territory at the religious hall of Thukha Yadana Monastery in Seinsabin Village yesterday morning.


Speaking on the occasion, the Speaker said that the Hlut­taw is an institution combined with the voters and people’s rep­resentatives. The Hluttaw will emphasize the legal protection for the people to live in peace and prestige. Moreover, the Hlut­taw will review, amend, add and revise the existing laws for the sake of the people.


Moreover, he added that the Hluttaw will convey the voice and will of the people to the government to implement them. Currently, the government is implementing the 100-day development initiatives for the people. Hence, the Hluttaw will coordinate with the government to fulfil the needs of people in the development process.


Local people discussed the repair of damaged stupas and temples caused by the earth­quake, the construction of con­crete roads in rural areas, and the supply of electricity and fuel for cultivation measures.


The Speaker responded that he will coordinate with relevant departments to address some measures. And, for the long-term process, he will make field trips to check the necessary meas­ures to be fulfilled on priority. — MNA/TTA
