3rd Bed Making Competition held at Novotel Yangon
THE 3rd Bed Making Competition of the International Five Star Hospitality Management Institute (IFS) was held yesterday morning at the Novotel Hotel in Kamayut Township, Yangon.
During the opening ceremony, IFS Academic Manager U Aung Thu delivered the welcoming address and outlined the objectives of the event, followed by Daw Chaw Su Aung, who introduced the panel of judges and briefed the participants on the competition rules. The contest saw students competing in pairs across individual beds, with four outstanding students emerging as top winners for their exceptional bed-making precision. Following the event, Housekeeping instructor U Kyaw Moe Naing, along with faculty members, presented awards and commemorative gifts to the four winners and other distinguished students.
Established in 2024 at Aung Myay Thasi Housing in Kamayut Township, the International Five Star Hospitality Management Institute aims to nurture skilled hospitality talent, elevate workplace standards through hands-on technical training, instill a strong focus on cleanliness and attention to detail, and expand career opportunities for youth to support the nation’s tourism sector on an international level.
