Local farmers in Taungdwingyi Township, Magway Region are cultivating seasonal crops. This monsoon season, a total of 68,364 acres out of the targeted 97,775 acres of monsoon paddy have been successfully cultivated, according to the township department of agriculture.
The township achieved its target cultivation in the previous year. This year, efforts are being made to meet the cultivation target, prevent pest and disease outbreaks to ensure target production and encourage the use of natural fertilizer and pesticides through agricultural awareness campaigns.
