Hlaingbwe Township distributes fuel to farmers for monsoon crop cultivation

UNDER the arrange­ments made by the Kayin State government, fuel was distributed on 29 August to 125 farmers cultivating 380 acres of monsoon crops across five village-tracts in Hlaingbwe Township, with Kayin State Chief Minister U Saw Myint Oo and officials inspecting the distribution process and coordinating meas­ures to ensure that farm­ers could easily access fertilizers and other agri­cultural inputs at afforda­ble prices.

The chief minister also inspected livestock operations, production and breeding activities funded under the State Economic Promotion Fund at the Kamawt Kachoo Livestock Zone. He instructed officials to increase livestock num­bers, remove inactive operators and reallocate land to active livestock breeders. During the visit, he presented vet­erinary medicines and mineral salt licks to local livestock farmers.

Additionally, they visited U Tun Tun Na­ing’s layer farm, U Min Ko Ko’s pig breeding farm and U Maung Than Lwin’s broiler farm. They also inspected the foot­ball field, gymnasium and gym at the Zwe Marn Sports Complex in Hlaingbwe Township to assess their readiness for hosting sports com­petitions.

The chief minister visited patients receiv­ing treatment at Hlaing­bwe Township Hospital, offered words of encour­agement and distributed nutritional food. He also provided general operat­ing funds and basic food­stuffs for the hospital’s healthcare staff. — Saw Myo Min Thein (IPRD)/ TH
