MSY Village Project inspected in Wundwin
THE Wundwin Township Rural Development Department in Meiktila District, Mandalay Region, conducted a field inspection yesterday to inspect the successful development of income-generating businesses in Kalaywa Village with the Mya Sein Yaung (MSY) Village Project Fund, aiming to enable rural residents to operate small businesses independently and to obtain low-interest financial resources.
U Aung Ko Ko Oo, Head of the Wundwin Township Rural Development Department, and the staff in charge of the township project met members of the MSY Village Project and reviewed the agricultural activities.
Township Head U Aung Ko Ko Oo checked the success of livestock and trading activities, enquired whether the monthly financial statements were complete and coordinated the necessary measures.
In the village, 52 farmers were given K40.19 million, 24 farmers K17.21 million, and five farmers K3.7 million. A total of 81 members and associates were provided with K61.1 million in non-returnable working capital loans at a low interest rate, and the MSY village project is currently underway, stated U Aung Ko Ko Oo, Township Head from the Wundwin Township Rural Development Department. — Aung Ye Kyaw
