YTU, KMD College win Varsity Esports Championship 2026 titles
THE Varsity Esports Championship 2026 Season 1, jointly organized by the Myanmar Esports Federation (MESF) and PUBG MOBILE, was held at Sedona Hotel in Yangon yesterday, with Yangon Technological University (YTU) and KMD College winning the PUBG MOBILE and Mobile Legends events, respectively.
The Offline PUBG MOBILE Grand Final featured 16 university and college teams that advanced from the preliminary competition held at Yangon University on 25 and 26 July. YTU won the championship with 70 points.
KMD College had earlier won the Mobile Legends championship after competing against 16 teams at Yangon University.
MESF Vice-President U Kyaw Htet Lin presented trophies to the winning teams. He said the Varsity League, launched with support from the PUBG MOBILE developer, would help raise the standard of university esports in Myanmar and provide students with opportunities to develop their competitive skills and bring honour to their institutions. — Thitsa (MNA)/KZL
