Officials Inspect Rural Road Construction in Sintgaing Township

Officials from the Rural Development Department of Sintgaing Township, Mandalay Region, inspected the construction of a rural production road in Ywar Thit Village this morning.

During the inspection, the district officer discussed with responsible officials measures to ensure that the road is built to the required standards and completed on schedule.

The 1-mile and 1.09-furlong-long and 12-foot-wide earthen road, with a thickness of two inches, is being constructed by Pyae Wa Company at a cost of K108.673 million. Construction began on June 26, and 40 percent of the work has been completed. The project is scheduled for completion in the second week of December.

Upon completion, the road will provide all-season access to 500 acres of farmland for 631 households, comprising 2,339 people from three villages, according to Daw Yee Yee Oo, District Officer of the Rural Development Department of Kyaukse District.—Ye Win Naing (Nyaung Oo)
