Shwetaung Township cultivates estimated 9,538 acres of rain-fed peanut

            A total of an estimated 9,538 rain-fed peanut have been successfully cultivated in Shwetaung Township, Bago Region.

            With the aims of expanding oilseed crop cultivation and increasing the yield of rain-fed peanut, the Agriculture Department has conducted awareness campaigns to promote proper use of inputs, prevent pest and disease risks and encourage necessary agricultural techniques.

            In addition, the township department is distributing high-quality peanut seeds to support high yields during the rain-fed peanut cultivation season.
