Tatmadaw families plant saplings at fourth monsoon tree-growing activities




COMMANDER-IN-CHIEF of Defence Services General Ye Win Oo planted a teak sapling at the fourth monsoon tree-growing ceremony for 2026 of the families of the Office of the Command­er-in-Chief (Army, Navy and Air) near Yezin Dam in Zeyathiri Township yesterday morning.


At the ceremony, families of the Office of the Command­er-in-Chief (Army, Navy and Air) planted 2,400 saplings of teak, ironwood, mahogany and gum-kino species.


The tree-growing ceremo­ny was participated in by Daw Nilar, the wife of the Command­er-in-Chief of Defence Services, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Command­er-in-Chief (Army) General Kyaw Swa Lin and his wife, Un­ion ministers and their wives, the Chief of the General Staff (Army, Navy and Air) and his wife, Tatmadaw members and their families.


At the same time, Tatmad­aw families grew 148,226 saplings at relevant military commands. — MNA/TTA
