Channel 24, Thuta Sonelin Buddha History Examination Board to sign media partnership agreement

A media partnership agreement signing cer­emony between Channel 24 and the All-Myanmar Thuta Sonelin Buddha History Examination Board (Central) will be held on 7 September to support the successful or­ganization of the “Thuta Sonelin Buddha History Examination event”.

The signing cer­emony will take place from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm on Monday, 7 September, at the Wazira theatre on Bogyoke Aung San Road in Yangon.

Through the media partnership, news and programmes related to the event will be widely disseminated to the pub­lic.

The event is organ­ized with the aim of help­ing younger generations of Buddhists gain a better understanding of the life, teachings and knowledge of Gotama Buddha, as well as preserving tradi­tional cultural and reli­gious heritage.

Now in its 13^th year, the competition has seen standards and participa­tion increase year by year. The event is systemati­cally organized at vari­ous examination centres through a tiered selection process, beginning at the township level, followed by the state/region level and culminating at the central level. — TWA/TH
