Fire Dragon International Futsal Cup 2026 set for kick-off in Yangon
THE pre-tournament press conference for the Fire Dragon International Futsal Cup 2026 was held at Thuwunna Youth Training Centre in Yangon on the morning of 5 September, with head coaches from the participating teams outlining their preparations for the competition.
The head coach of Group A’s YCDC Dream Team said the tournament would provide valuable experience ahead of next season, while TG United head coach U Kyaw Zin Nyunt said his team, which is mainly made up of young players this year, aimed to gain valuable experience from the competition.
Head coaches from Group B teams YRG FC, Black Pearl United Academy, MIU FC and M2K FC also said they would strive to give their players valuable experience while achieving the best possible results for their teams.
The Fire Dragon International Futsal Cup 2026 will be held in Yangon from 6 to 12 September, featuring host Myanmar teams alongside futsal clubs from Indonesia, Thailand and Cambodia. —ASH/KZL
