Laikha’s MSY village project loans disbursed




THE Department of Rural Development held a cere­mony to disburse revolving funds under the Mya Sein Yaung (MSY) Village Project in Honawngaum Village, Laikha Township, Shan State (South), yesterday.


Laikha Township Department of Rural Develop­ment Head U Aung Naing Win first explained that the revolving funds were provided under the MSY Village Project with the objectives of creating employment opportunities and increasing family incomes for rural residents, as well as enabling them to implement village development activities with increased revolving funds. Officials then handed over K69.7 million in revolving funds to members of the project implementation groups.

Honawngaum Village is implementing family in­come-generating activities using K69.7 million from the MSY Village Project. The 11th round of revolving loans at low interest rates was disbursed to 69 members from the village, including 25 members engaged in agriculture receiving K25.7 million, 16 in livestock breeding receiv­ing K16 million, and 28 in trading businesses receiving K28 million. — Cho Than Nyunt (Rural)
