Myanmar Consul-General attends 11th Belt and Road Summit




ACCORDING to the Minis­try of Foreign Affairs, My­anmar participated in the 11th Belt and Road Summit.


The 11th Belt and Road Summit was held in the first week of September at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. The Myanmar Consul-General attended the summit, and an exhibition booth was featured within the ASE­AN Zone inside the Global Investment Zone.


Attendees of the 11th Belt and Road Summit vis­ited the exhibition booths in the ASEAN Zone, where they met with representa­tives from the Hong Kong Trade Development Coun­cil’s (HKTDC) regional offices in ASEAN, ASEAN consulates-general and as­sociations to explore new business partnership oppor­tunities.


At the Myanmar Con­sulate-General booth within the ASEAN Zone, brochures on investment opportunities in Myanmar supported by the Ministry of National Planning, Investment and Foreign Economic Rela­tions were displayed, and promotional videos inviting investment in the power generation sector supported by the Ministry of Electricity and Energy were screened. Furthermore, the Economic Attaché addressed inquiries and held discussions with visitors, as reported. — ASH/TH
