Yenangyoung’s earth embankment and laterite paving works inspected

ON the morning of 2 Sep­tember, officials conduct­ed a field inspection to examine the progress of earth embankment con­struction and laterite paving works on the Tho­neseitchauk-Chaung­magyi-Pinwa Road, implemented by the Ye­nangyoung Township De­partment of Rural Road Development, Magway Region, under the Min­istry of Cooperatives and Rural Development, us­ing Union (Capital) funds for the 2026-2027 finan­cial year, according to reports.

U Khine Min Soe, person-in-charge of the Quality Control (QC) and Project Inspection Team of the Magway Region De­partment of Rural Road Development, Daw Thiri Phyo Wai Wint, Township Engineer-in-Charge (Civ­il) of the Yenangyoung Township Department of Rural Road Develop­ment, and responsible officials inspected the status of the laterite paving works on the Thoneseitchauk-Chaung­magyi-Pinwa Road, where QC Person-in- Charge U Khine Min Soe provided necessary discussions and instruc­tions.

The earth embank­ment construction and laterite paving works, measuring six furlongs in length, 18 feet in width, and eight inches in thickness, on the Tho­neseitchauk-Chaung­magyi-Pinwa Road have been carried out by the Township Department of Rural Road Development starting from 1 August this year, utilizing Union (Capital) funds of K118.5 million for the 2026-2027 financial year. It is re­ported that 50 per cent of the work has been com­pleted so far. Upon 100 per cent completion of the project, the socioec­onomic lives of residents will be improved. — Naw Lu (DRD)
