Free Rabies Vaccinations Provided in Maubin Township
Maubin, October 2
To help prevent the spread of rabies between animals and humans, reduce rabies-related deaths in the community, and support the global goal of “Zero by 30,” the Maubin Township Livestock Breeding and Veterinary Department conducted a rabies awareness session and provided free vaccinations for dogs and cats yesterday at 10 am.
The vaccination teams went from village to village to vaccinate dogs and cats, record the animals that received vaccinations, and issue vaccination cards.
According to Dr. Zaw Myo Min, Staff Officer of the township Livestock Breeding and Veterinary Department, the Township Department of Livestock and Veterinary Medicine will provide free rabies vaccinations for 500 dogs and cats owned by residents of Sagaing and Yeele Kalay village tracts for three consecutive years, along with continued rabies awareness activities.—Aung Myint Myat
