Yoke Thé performance to be held at Governor’s Yoke Thé Theatre

THE Governor’s Residence located on Tawwin Road in Dagon Township will host a live Yoke Thé performance (Myanmar marionette) on 15 October at the Governor’s Yoke Thé Theatre.

“Come to enjoy Myanmar traditional artistry and its essence and spend an elegant evening with your loved ones,” said an official from the Governor’s Residence.

At the cultural event, Myanmar marionette artistry that is conserved for years will be performed with Myanmar instruments, so visitors can enjoy the essence of Myanmar cultural heritages with a Myanmar feast dinner.

It will be held from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm and fee for attendance is K150,000 per guest.

The unique culture event, which aims to preserve the significance of Myanmar traditional marionette, has been passed down generation from generation. — Htun Htun/ZS
